Tagore Prize for Social Achievement is given specifically for outstanding and lasting impact on society.
TagorePrize for Social Achievement 2021-2022 was awarded to Sanjoy K. Roy, for his outstanding contribution towards philanthropy, literature and arts. Roy is Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, a producer of the iconic Jaipur Literature Festival and 30 other art festivals across the world, a creator of the initiative – “I Believe Art Matters” which helped over 8000 artistes and artisans during COVID19, a founder-trustee of Salaam Baalak Trust working to provide support services for street and working children in the inner city of Delhi where over 55,000 children have benefited from education, training and residential services.
